Prototype 1: Cutting Linoleum

專案類型

Making

日期

15th Oct

地點

Wood workshop

For this linoleum cutting process, I followed the same steps as with the previous sample. Since the back of linoleum has a fiber layer, it can't be cut through completely. I used manual cutting and then sanded the edges with 240-grit sandpaper.

While sanding, I made sure to sand the fiber side at a 45-degree angle, slightly inward. This helps reduce gaps along the edges, making the linoleum pieces fit together more smoothly. The result was quite good, with neat edges and a tighter fit.
